As reported iRiver drives a dual strategy with their portable video players. The PMP-100/120/140 is based on Linux, while the PMC 100/120 is based on Microsoft Portable Media Center OS.
New designs surfaced of the iRiver PMC 100. The look got quite updated. Compare to a early photo of the iRiver PMC 100 at the CES 2004.
The PMC 100 features a 20GB hard-drive and should go on sale 3rd Quarter 2004. The Linux based iRiver PMP 120 is already available for pre-order in some stores.
