Asetek announced that it is first to market with a liquid cooling system for the new Radeon HD 4870 video card from ATI. The cooling solution is a single slot design and allows OEMs to provide liquid cooling to highly overclocked video cards.
Asetek says that its liquid cooling solution can lower the temperature of the GPU by as much as 26 degrees. The cooling system is good for 50,000 hours of operation and no maintenance is required for the system.
"PC gamers continue to push the performance envelope," says Gary Baum, Asetek's Senior VP of Marketing. "Our award-winning, LCLC thermal solution extends overclocking performance providing the maximum gaming and entertainment experience--with no graphics fan noise."
