If you have been to the movies in the last few months you have no doubt seen the previews for the upcoming 3D flick Journey to the Center of the Earth. THQ has announced a video game based on the movie for the Nintendo DS game system.

The game puts players in the center of the Earth as they look for a passage to the surface and travel through all seven of the underground worlds from the movie. Mini-games also let player’s rock climb, dig for dinosaur bones, and raft across an underground sea.

Players can use all three characters from the movie including Trevor, Sean, and Hannah. Each of the characters will have unique abilities. The movie the game is based on hits theaters this summer in 3D and normal versions.
