Toshiba has announced that it updated some of its Satellite series notebooks with the new AMD next generation notebook platform. Models receiving upgrades include the P300D, A300D, M300D, U400D, L300D, and L350D.
All of the machines are offered with variations of the new AMD Athlon Dual core QL, Turion Dual Core RM and Turion Ultra ZM processors. The new AMD platforms offer better performance, visuals and battery life compared to previous AMD platforms.
Some Satellite models also got new features like a FM tuner built-in. Face recognition was added to some systems to allow users to log in to their computers without typing or swiping a finger. Toshiba’s sleep-and-Charge USB ports also appear on some systems allowing you to charge USB devices when the notebook is turned off. Other new features include eSATA ports and a new Fusion finish.
