Google launches a 3D World dubbed Google Lively.
Google Lively lets you chat with your friends or meet new contacts online in rooms you can create and decorate. Additionally you can personalize your surroundings with an ever-growing catalog of avatars, outfits, furniture, and rooms.
The Lively client requires Windows Vista/XP with Internet Explorer or Firefox.
Lively offers nothing new that is not available with existing 3D worlds like Second Life. Lively is more associated with the web and web sites, but the experience is nothing new. Will it catch on? I do not know, but I am more excited about Playstation Home as it raises the bar in the quality of 3D worlds.
More details and beta client for Google Lively are available on this site.
