Logitech has announced its latest force feedback racing wheel for the PS3 called the Logitech Driving Force Wireless. The wheel uses 2.4GHz wireless technology to connect to the PS3 console with no need for wires strung across the living room.
The wheel doesn’t use a set of pedals to save space. Buttons for throttle and brake are located on the wheel. The racing wheel is also made for use in the lap, something that previous Logitech racing wheels have not been able to do. The wheel is expected to be available in August for $99.99.
"A standard controller doesn't really give you a satisfying racing experience, yet not everyone can have a complex driving simulator set up in their living room," said Ruben Mookerjee, Logitech's director of product marketing for gaming. "The Driving Force Wireless delivers the fantastic racing experience you'd expect from a Logitech force feedback wheel. And the one-piece design is easy to set up and just as easy to put away - keeping the living room free of clutter and making the entire family happy."
