id Software is one of the most legendary game studious around with some of the most iconic game franchises anywhere to its credit like Doom and Quake. EA and id have announced that EA will be the publisher for the next huge franchise from id called RAGE.

RAGE will be based on id’s new id Tech5 game engine and is being called an all new take on the first person shooter. The game will be available on the PC, Xbox, and PS3 as well as Mac computers. Details are scant at this point, but id promises more at Quakecon this year.

"RAGE is a shooter unlike any other, developed on our cutting edge new technology, and built to the exacting standards id is famous for.
