Panasonic announced today that it has upgraded some of its Toughbook notebooks with the Centrino 2 chipset from Intel. Both the Toughbook CF-52 and Toughbook CF-74 now use the Centrino 2 platform. As part of the Centrino 2 platform the systems now have 802.11n Wi-Fi.

The machines use 160Gb HDD and Intel Centrino 2 processor technology. The CF-52 has a 15.4-inch LCD and the CF-74 is a 13.3-inch machine. The updated CF-52 will ship in August starting at $1949 and the CF-74 will start at $3199.
