E3 2009 possibly flashier again

The E3 2008 is over and has left us with mixed feelings. Only Microsoft pleased us with their E3 press briefing. Nintendo and Sony held back with only a few interesting announcements, and did not dazzle most of us.
This was the 2nd year of the E3 in its cut back invitation only and almost Booth Babes free version. But this might change again for E3 2009.
The San Francisco Chronicle captured some voices from video game executives that say that they want a bigger event that reflects better the current video game industry success.
They do not want to go back to the total madness of E3 2006, but something more exciting that draws the full attention of the world to E3 again.
