Lenovo has traditionally been a business focused brand outside of its native china where it has provided consumer notebook and desktop systems for a long time. Lenovo is now looking to globally expand into the consumer arena with its computers.
Lenovo announced that it has expanded its sales network to grab more of the consumer market. Lenovo PCs will now be available in more retail locations and the Lenovo PCs will be sold via D&H Distributing and Ingram Micro. The systems will be sold in the US and Canada and will include IdeaPad notebooks and IdeaCenter desktop systems.
"Since we launched our 'Idea' brand in January, we've enjoyed an enthusiastic response for our products' design and innovative features," said Stephen DiFranco, vice president and general manager, Americas Consumer, Lenovo. "We are focusing on growing the retailer and e-tailer channel, and are now working with our distributors and other valued business partners who specialize in meeting the needs of small-office-home-office, small-to-medium business and retail customers."
