Our friends over at Gearlive report about Apple already sending a new version of the iPhone software update to developers: iPhone OS 2.1 Beta.
iPhone OS 2.1 Beta on first glance includes new features for GPS navigation.
The iPhone OS 2.1 enables you to track the heading and speed of your movement.
These GPS enhancement would enable turn-by-turn navigation applications. A new SDK is also part of the iPhone OS 2.1 delivery.
There are still many reports of issues on the current iPhone OS 2.0, so hopefully Apple is able to fix most of them with the 2.1 release. A new iPhone OS, most likely means that the current iPhone 2.0 jailbreaking and unlocking tool will be obsolete again.
