Microsoft tricks Users with Mojave Vista Alter Ego

CNET reports about an interesting test Microsoft organized in San Francisco with a group of Windows XP users. Microsoft showed the focus group a new OS named Mojave and the reaction of the group was overly positive.
Then Microsoft revealed to the group that Mojave is indeed Windows Vista how it is available today.
The focus group got video taped and we might see some footage as part of Microsoft's huge Windows Vista campaign that is about to roll out in full force.
For me this test just shows that most consumers do not even look at Vista because of the huge negative sentiment against Vista. Today Vista is sure usable as Microsoft already sold 140 million copies. The bigger question is though if Vista is improving my day to day usage of my PC over Windows XP. And the answer for most users including me is no.
Even Microsoft's Steve Ballmer found out what is wrong with Vista and also with the Office family. He stated in this internal email that Apple is good at providing an experience that is narrow but complete.
This is the key and Vista and the latest Office are offering the opposite of a narrow solution. Vista sure is complete (over complete), but this "completeness is hidden" from the users. I still have my hopes that Microsoft will design Windows 7 to offer just what we need, without feature clutter and hardware hungry overhead.
