Frequent travelers who take computers with them on flights are probably looking forward to the new laptop bags that allow X-rays to pass through so a laptop doesn't have to be removed to go through security checkpoints.
Aerovation Products now has its Checkpoint Friendly laptop bag available for purchase. The bag has a laptop compartment that peels open to allow for placement on screening belts. No clasps or buckles are used to keep the bag closed when in use and picking it up by the handles closes the bag back up.
The checkpoint Friendly Laptop bag is available now and will hold 15.4-inch notebooks for $129.99. The manufacturer's website has an interesting statement posted on it saying that buyers are reporting that TSA officials are still making them remove laptops from their bags for scanning. I guess it depends on the people doing the scanning.
