2K Sports and Konomi announced today that the popular Japanese baseball video game called MLB Power Pros 2008 is now available to purchase. The game isn’t like a real baseball game and the players look more like Wii sports characters.
The game does feature real players made into little cartoon characters and real teams though. The game has easy to use controls and let's fans act as general manager of their own team. Players can trade, sign free agents, coordinate practice schedules, purchase new equipment and call players up from minor leagues, or send them back down. The game is available for the PS2 and the Wii.
"We're proud to deliver another exciting baseball title for our dedicated fans to enjoy in an accessible and refreshing experience," said Greg Thomas, senior vice president of sports development, 2K. "With miniature player models, pick-up-and-play controls and newly added features, MLB Power Pros 2008 provides pure entertainment and fun for all ages this season."
