You would have to be oblivious to the gaming world to not know that music based games like Guitar Hero are among the hottest game titles available right now. The recording industry knows how hot the games are right now for sure.
Activision announced that it and Logitech are teaming up for premium instruments for Guitar Hero World Tour. The game is set to ship this fall for the Xbox 360, Wii, PS2, and PS3 consoles. Logitech is mum on exactly what instruments it will be developing, but it's safe to say guitars, mics and drum kits are on the list.
"Logitech is the leading producer of peripheral devices and the company is widely considered to be the gold standard for innovation and quality peripheral products," said Charles Huang, vice president business development for RedOctane. "With Logitech, we know we have found the right partner who can deliver top-quality premium hardware that consumers have come to expect from Guitar Hero."
