NEC announced two new portable projectors called the NP41 and the NP61. The projectors are designed with features that allow them to be set up and taken down quickly like quick-start and quick-cooling. Both projectors automatically detect the input source and project the image. Both also take advantage of one-touch image optimization.
The NP41 projector has 2300 lumens of brightness and the NP61 has 3000 lumens. Both projectors have a 1600:1 contrast ratio and XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The projectors weigh the same 3.5 pounds and use a 6-segment color wheel. Inputs include 15-pin RGB, RCA, S-Video and audio input. HD compatibility is featured in both projectors. The NP61 will ship in September for $1399 and the NP41 will ship in October for $999.
"The NP41 and NP61 projectors provide the powerful features required by mobile users while remaining lightweight and cost-effective," said Rich McPherson, Product Manager at NEC Display Solutions. "Their automatic features deliver the technological innovation expected of NEC products, delivering bright and brilliant images."
