Swimmer Michael Phelps won today the Olympic record-breaking eighth gold medal in a single Olympics game breaking the record held by Mark Spitz.
Mark Spitz won 7 Gold medals back in 1972 in the Munich Olympic Games.
With the 6 Gold medals Michael Phelps has won four years ago in Athens he has achieved now 14 Olympic Gold medals, the most of any Olympian.
Michael Phelps is a phenomenon and his success is in part attributed to his unique physique and to his high tech Speedo LZR Racer swimsuit. The Speed LZR Racer swimsuit is already available for pre-order if you want to feel like Phelps on the Speedo site.
Michael Phelps is not unbeatable though as the 100-meter butterfly showed on Saturday, where he got lucky and won by 1/100th of a second.
