Razer has announced a pair of new gaming headphones called the Moray and the Megalodon. The Megalodon retails for $149.99 and features full 7.1 surround sound and a mic. The frequency response for the headphone is 20- 20,000 Hz and the mic features a unidirectional pickup pattern. The Moray is an in-ear style gaming headset that offers noise isolation as well. The Moray is suitable for gaming or music listening on the go. The Moray connects via a standard 3.5mm mini-jack making them suitable for most gaming devices. Pricing for the Moray is $39.99 and the frequency response is 20 to 11000 Hz. Both headphones will be available in Q4 2008.
"The Razer Megalodon hosts our most exciting new audio technology yet: the Razer Maelstrom Audio Engine. With it, the Razer Megalodon blows comparable VSS systems away and will deliver an amazing gaming experience to gamers," said Robert "Razerguy" Krakoff, president of Razer. He added, "We're proud to be launching both the Razer Megalodon and the Razer Moray at Games Convention as it confirms our commitment to deliver compelling products to gamers."
