EA announced a new service for FIFA Soccer 09 called Adidas Live Season that will dynamically update players in game on a weekly basis to allow players in the video game to mimic their real-world counterparts. The service will be available for Barclay's Premier League, La Liga BBVA, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, Serie A, and Mexican Primera Division for the PS3 and Xbox as well as PC.
This feature adds dynamic real world data and analytics to the game and adds a huge amount of authenticity for players. Gameplay will change as the performance of the players and soccer teams in the real world changES, allowing gamers to experience the highs and lows of the campaign. If the player in the real world has a good week, the same player in the video game will play better. At the same time if your player has a bad week; it's reflected in the game as well.
"This is an ambitious and completely unique feature that has never been attempted before for football videogames," said Andrew Wilson, Vice President & Executive Producer for the franchise. "The game will feel and play differently each week. With adidas Live Season if Ronaldinho has a great match on the weekend you'll feel the difference when you pick up the controller as his in-game attributes increase."
