Logitech has announced today the first ever force feedback wheel for the Nintendo Wii. The device is called the Logitech Speed Force Wireless racing wheel and is designed to work with EA's forthcoming Need for Speed Undercover video game. The wheel is licensed by Nintendo and introduces force feedback to the Nintendo Wii.
The wheel uses a one-piece design and is convenient to use on a couch, armchair, or on the floor. The wheel features built-in gas and brake controls located on the wheel and expandable lap rest that's adjustable. The wheel is wireless and uses 2.4 GHz technology allowing for range of up to 30 feet from the console.
The wheel is ready to use when the USB receiver is plugged into the Wii console and the AC adapter is required to power the wheel. The wheel requires no assembly or mounting and once it is plugged in it is ready be used. The Logitech Speed Force Wireless racing wheel will be available in the US and Europe in November for $99.99.
