Bowers & Wilkins announces a new subwoofer for the 600 series called the ASW 610XP. The sub has a single 10-inch driver and produces a frequency response to 25Hz with bass extension to 18Hz. B&W says the 10-inch diver is very long throw and has dual, high-current voice-coils.
The cone is made from paper and Kevlar and the sub uses a class D amp delivering 500W of power. The sub includes a three-position EQ switch with A, C, and B settings. Other features include a line-in level, low-pass frequency with bypass, bass roll off and auto-on, off, or standby settings.
Measurements for the sub are 13" x 13" x 15" and it comes in black ash, red cherry, or Wenge vinyl woodgrain finishes. The subwoofer is available now for $1200 each.
