Rotel was a new name to me, but it has been around for almost 50 years. It announced new 15 Series home audio components with a broad range of home theater and custom installation products. The flagship series will include multichannel home theater receivers, preamp-processor and power amps.

Higher-end items get HDMI v1.3 and support for Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master. The products will support Deep color and xvYCC extended color gamut. Onboard video components for the products are by Faroudja allowing for 1080p scaling with 24Hz capability.

The line will be available in Q3 and Q4 with the RSX-1550 receiver at $1999, the RSX-1560 receiver at $2599, the RSP-1570 preamp at $2199, the RMB 1565 5ch amp at $1299, the RMB-1575 5ch amp at $2799, the RB-1562 2ch amp at $799, the RB-1572 2ch amp at $1299, the RB-1510 2ch amp at $499, RMB-1506 6ch amp at $999, and the RMB-1512 12ch amp at $2999.
