Lite-On announced its latest external DVD solution today called the eSAU208. The fully featured 8x DVD burner is fully USB powered making it compact and stylish. The burner can be powered by one or two USB ports.
The device can burn DVD+-R discs at 8x and has a power save mode that lets users use lower power with speeds reduced 40-60%. The drive will come in two colors -- white or burgundy.
The drive also features LightScribe disc labeling and will be available in Europe in September or October. USB powered burners are perfect for users of ultramobile computers lacking an optical drive.
