Google Chrome first Impressions

Google Chrome browser is now available for download. The download was pretty quick and my first couple minutes with Chrome where rather pleasant.
The rendering speed is great. Of course Safari's speed is similarly good, but I still use IE7. Next I imported my Internet Explorer bookmarks, passwords and settings. This worked pretty well. What I missed was the Home button, which I am totally used to. The home button is not available by default on Chrome.
In the few available settings I could enable the home button and configure my HTML launch page with my major links I visit every day. Now my Chrome experience is close enough to what I am used to with IE.
I will have to spend more time with Chrome to see if the multi-threaded architecture is really that robust and how the Gears can be leveraged efficiently to improve my web browsing experience.
You can download Chrome here to test it yourself.
