Master Lock is a name synonymous with locks to protect all manner of things. The company has announced a new locking cage for iPod players to prevent them from being stolen. The device is called the iCage.
The iCage is a locking skin that allows you to choose a 3-digit combination and has a flexible lock-down cable and ships with three shrink wraps for scratch protection of the screen and body. The iCage comes sized for the 4GB and 8GB iPod nano as well as the iPod classis in all capacities. The device retails for $14.99 for the nano models and $19.99 for the iPod classic models.
"So many people have made their iPod an essential part of their lives and that means more, and often easier, opportunities for theft. The iCage(TM) maintains the ease of use of these devices while keeping them more secure," said John Heppner, president and CEO of Fortune Brands Storage and Security, which includes Master Lock. "The iCage locking skin enhances the iPod user experience by making security possible wherever and whenever people are using them."
