SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Apple Inc Chief Executive Steve Jobs poked fun at
reports of his poor health at a new product presentation on Tuesday, walking by
a screen that said, "The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated."
Jobs introduced an upgraded iPod nano, the thinnest music player the company has
produced.
He appeared thin but jaunty as he walked around the stage in his trademark
outfit of jeans and long-sleeve black shirt.
Concerns about Jobs' health ballooned in June, when he appeared leaner than
usual while introducing the latest model of the iPhone at a conference in San
Francisco.
In 2004, Jobs, 53, said he had undergone successful surgery to remove a rare
type of pancreatic cancer.
Apple stock slid $3.50, or about 2.3 percent, to $154.20 in afternoon Nasdaq
trading.
