Andrea Electronics has introduced the PureAudio USB High Fidelity External Sound Card to improve the quality of PC sound. The sound card uses Andrea's patented noise cancelling technology for dramatic sound improvements.
The Andrea USB-SA device replaces the onboard sound system of a notebook or desktop computer, eliminates external sound, and increases the stereo microphone input and stereo speaker output. Andrea says that the device will help improve the quality of speech recognition in applications like Dragon Naturally Speaking. The USB sound card retails for $44.95.
"Whether you are using VoIP applications on your computer, watching YouTube(TM) movie clips, using game chat, or simply listening to music, quality audio is increasingly an essential element of being online," said Douglas Andrea, CEO of Andrea Electronics. "Improving PC clarity and audio performance is fast becoming a requirement for both consumers and enterprises alike. The market is increasingly looking for affordable solutions to improve audio quality."
