Seagate Announces New Line of FreeAgent Drives

Seagate announced its new line of FreeAgent external hard drives today. The offerings include the FreeAgent Go portable, which is the slimmest external hard drive available at only 12.5mm. The drive also offers a docking option for easy moving on the road. The line can be had with up to 500GB of storage.
Other drives in the line include the FreeAgent Go Drive for Mac at $159.99 for 250GB and $189.99 for 320GB. The FreeAgent Go Drive will retail for $119.99 for 250GB, $149.99 for 320GB, and $239.99 for 500GB. The FreeAgent Dock and Case is a docking station and will sell for $29.99. The FreeAgent Desk Drive is a backup and security drive and will be available with up to 1.5TB of storage at $279.99. The final new drive is the FreeAgent XTreme Drive. The drive offers eSATA connectivity and can be had with up to 1.5TB of storage with prices up to $299.99.

This second-generation of FreeAgent storage solutions takes the extra step of providing easy-to-use technology in a consumer-friendly package."
