There are lots of attractive netbooks on the market this fall and it is difficult to choose the right one. Acer has with the Aspire One an attractive netbook that stands out a bit. It is currently a bestseller in at Amazon and Walmart.
The reasons for the success are possibly the pleasant design, attractive pricing and decent hardware configuration. With the 8.9 inch screen the Acer Aspire One is featuring what I think is the sweet spot screen size for netbooks. Smaller screens are not really good to work with and larger ones get you too close to normal notebook sizes.
The Acer Aspire One comes in black, white and blue colors. You can choose between Linux and a Windows XP version.
The Acer Aspire One 8.9 inch netbook running Windows XP with 160GB HDD and 1GB RAM is selling for $399.99.
The Acer Aspire One with 8GB SSD and 512MB running on Linux can be had for only $338.
