Creative has announced a new notebook sound card called the Sound Blaster X-Fi Notebook sound card that is aimed at making your mobile music sound better. The device fits the ExpressCard slot on some PCs. The card also improves the quality of movie sound and comes with Power DVD software.
Other features of the sound card include X-Fi CMSS-3D and EAX Advanced HD audio for gaming. Creative also announced a Creative Wireless Receiver that sends audio from your notebook wirelessly to other speakers in your home with a 100-foot range. The sound card will retail for $99.99 and the wireless receiver will sell for $69.99.
"The Sound Blaster X-Fi Notebook and Creative Wireless Receiver were designed to dramatically improve the sound quality of all of the music, movies and games on your notebook PC and play it wirelessly anywhere in your home. This allows you to put your speaker systems where you want them without having them tied to your laptop and stuck on your desk," said Steve Erickson, VP and GM of audio for Creative.
