THQ announced today that its off-road racing game Baja: Edge of Control has now shipped to retail. The game is for the Xbox and PS3 game systems and is from the founding members of the MX vs. ATV franchise.
The game will retail for $59.99 and lets players experience the famous off-road race as they tackle mountains and unpredictable terrain in an effort to win the 1,000-mile race. The game includes 1,000 miles of open terrain, 160 sponsored vehicles from trophy trucks to buggies.
“Baja: Edge of Control offers a realistic simulation of a Baja race, where managing the vehicle’s tires, clutch and brakes at speeds of over 100 mph is the key to victory,” said Peter Matiss, Vice President of Global Brand Management, THQ. “For those that prefer to get straight into the action, the game also offers an arcade mode that removes vehicle management and focuses on the intensity of off -road racing.”
