CyberLink is the latest company to announce it is taking advantage of NVIDIA's CUDA technology for its software. CyberLink PowerDirector now delivers faster video rendering and a better experience when processing HD video.
NVIDIA has been pushing its CUDA technology hard in the market place and software firms are now starting to take advantage. CUDA is the name NVIDIA uses for its C-language compiler. PowerDirector uses CUDA to accelerate video effects like Gaussian radial blur, pen ink, and more.
“Videos today are largely adopted by consumers in their daily lives to share, communicate, and express themselves to their friends or to the world,” said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink. “PowerDirector offers advanced, yet user-friendly, video editing capabilities that let consumers express themselves creatively. We are very pleased with the accelerated performance we're achieving using NVIDIA's CUDA technology, which will improve our user’s experience by letting them produce video content faster and easier.”
