Panasonic claims that its new EVOLTA AA batteries are the world's longest lasting AA Alkaline batteries. The batteries set a Guinness World Record for the world's longest lasting AA alkaline battery in more devices.
Panasonic says the new structure of the battery provides more internal space than its previous generation batteries for storage of more active materials. The EVOLTA battery uses new material for the battery cathode consisting of manganese dioxide and oxy-hydroxide titanium and a zinc anode. The battery maker claims that a RC car can travel 8.7 miles further using its battery than competitors' brands.
“I believe that EVOLTA is the ultimate power solution for any and all consumers that will enhance everyday life by delivering superior portable energy solutions,” said Matt Sora, vice president of sales and marketing for Panasonic Battery Corp. of America.
