One of the worst things for people who suffer from repetitive stress injuries is typing and moving the mouse. Users who spend most of the workday working on a computer move the mouse for a long period of time leading to strain and tensions in the hands, fingers, and wrist.
A new ergonomic mouse called the HandshoeMouse will be available at the end of 2008. The mouse was designed by two medical universities in Holland and allows the user to place the palm on the mouse and use it without having to cling to the mouse.
The mouse comes in three different sizes for different size hands and is available in three different colors as well. The mouse will retail for EUR 120 when it goes on sale. Reducing strain is one of the reasons I like very high sensitivity on my mice because it requires much less wrist movement to navigate.
