Sony and the Max Planck Institute collaborate on new OLED technology that results in transparent, bendable and folding OLED screens.
Flexible color displays are nothing new. Fujitsu for instance already has a flexible color ePaper display, they showed one in 2005. These days it looks like OLED has the most potential, creating revolutionary displays that are ultra-thin and even bendable.
The Sony and Max Planck Institute OLED display solution is less than a millimeter thick and basically has no size limits.
There is no information yet on when we can fold one of these flexible OLED screens and put it in our pockets.

More details and a video of showing the OLED display in action can be found on OLED-Info.
