Today Toshiba announced the launch of the mobile, 3LCD TLP-X150U projector with closed captioning that can deliver a “PC-free” presentation, thanks to a built-in USB port in a slim form factor.
Weighing just 4 pounds and measuring less than 3 inches tall, the TLP-X150U is for mobile professionals, educators, corporate customers, small-to-medium businesses or for portable digital entertainment.
The mobile Toshiba TLP-X150U projector features 2,600 ANSI lumens, a contrast ratio of 600:1, and XGA native resolution of 1024 x 768px.
The closed Captioning feature allows the audience to read text or dialogue from a DVD player or television signal, benefiting viewers who may be hard of hearing, learning a new language, beginning to read or in a noisy environment.
The Blackboard function of the Toshiba TLP-X150U allows presentations to be made on non-screen surfaces, such as a painted wall or a blackboard, for ultimate mobility. Users simply select a wall color, such as green, black, brown, blue or beige, and the projector automatically corrects the color for a clearer display in almost any environment.
The new Toshiba projector is priced at $959 (MSRP) and is covered by Toshiba’s three-year standard limited warranty.
