Sony Ericsson launched its first 3G Walkman phone in the US as an exclusive for AT&T called the W760a Walkman phone. The handset has an integrated accelerometer that allows users to shake or tilt the phone to change tracks and simulate motion for video games.
The device is compatible with features like Napster mobile, eMusic mobile, Music ID and XM Radio. Features include a 3.2MP camera, AT&T Navigator, HTML web browsing, and more. The handset will retail for $129.99 after a 2-year agreement and mail-in rebate.
"Why use buttons when motion can guide mobile entertainment?" said Carlton Hill, vice president of Devices and Product Development for AT&T's wireless operations. "Whether using the W760a to play a bowling game by mimicking the action or simply shaking it to listen to the next song in your playlist, the W760a can follow your lead."
