Dell has announced that Best Buy will be the exclusive retail carrier for some Alienware Aurora gaming desktops just in time for the holiday shopping season. Alienware systems can easily run into the ten thousand dollar range, but the rigs Best Buy will be peddling are much more reasonably priced.
Consumers will be able to get an Aurora with an AMD Phenom X4 9550 quad-core CPU, dual ATI HD 4850 video cards, 500GB HDD, and 4GB of storage for $1699.99. The performance the machine offers will be plenty for all the latest titles on the gaming market this holiday season.
“Best Buy constantly looks for the most exciting and in-demand consumer electronics to offer shoppers,” says Keith Bryan, director of desktop computing, Best Buy. “The addition of the Alienware Aurora is no exception. Its quality, design, and performance features can draw people to Best Buy who want to experience Alienware first hand and experience a new standard in personal computing and gaming.”
