THQ has released a new video game based on SpongeBob SquarePants that features Nicktoons: Globs of Doom. The game is available on the PS2, Wii, and Nintendo DS. The game has shipped approximately 4.5 million units worldwide.

Rated E for Everyone the game will launch in Europe later in the month. Ten different playable characters are included in the game including SpongeBob, Jimmy Neutron, Danny Phantom, Invader Zim and Tak. Five villains in the game are Plankton, Professor Calamitous, Technus, div, and Tlaloc.

The game retails for $39.99 on Wii, $29.99 on PS2 and Nintendo DS. In the game the heroes work together to defeat the enemies and save the world. This should be a cool game for kids this holiday season.
