Wolverine Data has unveiled its Internet radio device called the WorldRadio. The device can pick up stations from more than 15,000 radio stations worldwide. The device supports UPnP allowing users to stream music stored on their PC.

The stand-alone Internet radio capability is via vTuner portal and Wolverine claims the WorldRadio is the most advanced device on the market with maximum worldwide station reach. The speakers are 6-watt and the device has external jacks for headphones or a stereo. Music can be sorted by genre, country. Windows Media Player 11 is used to stream music from a PC. The device is available now for $179.99.

“WorldRadio is the most complete guide to the world of digital quality live entertainment, sports, music, news and talk on the Internet receiving thousands of stations from over 160 countries around the globe,” Mardini asserted. “By connecting our new WorldRadio to the Internet via its built-in Wi-Fi or Ethernet/LAN, consumers can indulge their personal listening preferences by genre or country anywhere in the world.”
