The WSJ has a piece on the new Motorola co-chief executive Sanjay Jha and his pursuit of making the Motorola mobile unit successful again.
Mr. Jha's plan includes focusing on Android phones, and two other software platforms. He needs to cancel four others Motorola has supported so far. This will lead to scrap dozens of cell phone designs that are currently under development leading to many delays for those who actually still wait for Moto phones.
I am not sure how the recent announcement of the luxury Aura phone fits into this streamlining strategy of Motorola. Seems they are still not focused.
Motorola needs another RAZR. A hot seller like that can put it back into the game.
More details on the WSJ.
