Mark Asnes from Wireless Zone shares some tips on how to take better pictures with your camera phone. The first tip is good lighting, which is especially important if you don’t have built-in flash. Adjust the white balance on the camera (I'm not sure how many camera phones actually allow this.) Don’t use digital zoom. Digital zoom simply makes the pixels larger and ruins image quality.
When skipping zoom just get closer to the object you are shooting. Tip five is stay still, a no brainer really. Get a feel for the shutter lag on your camera phone, it will be significant. It takes from when you press the shutter button until the camera actually takes the picture this time. View images on your computer before deleting them, they may look fuzzy on the phone and fine on the computer. Turn up resolution; again, I am not sure how many phones allow this. The final tip is keep trying.
"Camera phones have improved significantly in quality over the years. Increased megapixels, better lenses and higher capacity storage are now available to consumers," said Asnes. "Finding the best camera phone for your needs can be a daunting task, so it’s best to seek expert advice."
