FreedomVOICE Systems has submitted a new iPhone application for approval to the Apple App Store. The application is called Newber and allows users of the iPhone to automatically route calls to and from the iPhone as needed.
The app uses GPS, cellular positioning and Wi-Fi to detect nearby phones as defined by the user. From within the application users can send calls to phones near them and the change can be made during a live conversation.
Chris Nikkel, Director of R&D at FreedomVOICE Systems, has been shocked by the overwhelmingly positive reception Newber has received. “We were proud of Newber going into the Beta test,” says Nikkel. “But even we were surprised by the enthusiasm of our testers. Many people are eager for a solution like Newber to be made publicly available. We listened carefully to our testerʼs feedback and used it to build an even better product. Weʼre ready for Newber to hit the App Store.”
