As Circuit City closes 154 of its existing stores and lays off mass amounts of employees, the silver lining for consumers is that the electronics retailer is having selloffs at closing locations. Circuit City says that closing sales are now underway in 154 US locations.
Consumers can get deals on electronics items just in time for holiday shopping. The closing sales at the affected locations are being conducted by a joint venture of Hilco Merchant Resources and Gordon Brothers Group. The only catch is that all sales are final at the stores participating in the close out.
“Merchandise will be marked down to sell fast. Everything must go,” said Stephen Miller, Principal and Managing Director, Gordon Brothers Group. “The timing couldn’t be better for consumers. We don’t expect this sale to last very long.”

As always compare prices. Not every sale is a real sale. Best is to go shopping with a 3G internet smartphone so you can compare prices right in the store on the web before you buy.
