Report Provides Most Desired Electronic Products for Holidays
Topic: Other Stuff

Research and Markets has released its 2008 US Holiday Spending on Consumer Electronics report that details the most desired product types for the holiday season.
The poor economy in the US is the reason cited by 24.1% of those surveyed for not buying electronic products this year. Two years ago, only 19.4% of respondents had no plans to buy electronics. For those planning to buy CE products this year the most popular products are as follows in order from most popular to least: HDTVs, PCs, digital cameras, Blu-ray players, and navigation devices.
I would also bet that one of the top holiday consumer electronics categories for the holidays would be game consoles. Nintendo has promised a much larger supply of Wii consoles for the holiday season and the demand is still way up for the console. The PS3 and Xbox 360 are usually top sellers over the holidays as well.
