Sony Ericsson announced to sell their first Windows smartphone unlocked in the US. The stylish Windows smartphone with the unique slide-out keyboard is an ideal choice if you are looking for a unique new phone for yourself or to gift this Holidays. Why is it going to be unique?
At a price of $799.99 you most likely be the only one in your company, street, or village to own the XPERIA X1. The high price gives you the right to brag about your independence from carriers and that you do not need subsidies/bribes those iPhone and BlackBerry fanboys take from carriers.
The XPERIA X1 is a cool looking arc slider phone with integrated QWERTY keyboard and 3 inch W-VGA (800x480px) touchscreen.
Sony Ericsson tries to catch up with the Apple iPhone interface with their new panel interface. Additionally the XPERIA X1 lets you interact in four different ways: Touch, full QWERTY keyboard, 4-way key and optical joystick.
Other features of the XPERIA X1 include HSDPA, Wifi, 3.2MP camera, aGPS, Bluetooth, FM radio, music player, video player, 400MB internal memory, and microSD card slot.
Sony Ericsson managed to keep the size of their first Windows smartphone fairly small with 110x53x16.7mm. The weight of the XPERIA X1 is 145g.
