Sony announces yet another firmware update for the Sony PSP. The firmware 5.02 is supposed to improve system software stability during use of some features, including the PlayStation Store.
At the end of October Sony had to release the PSP Firmware 5.01 update to fix a memory card issue. The 5.01 was released just about 10 days after the major PSP firmware 5.00 update was released.
Usually the PSP updates hit first in Japan, but as of the writing of this story the new PSP firmware has not been posted yet. There are no further details known about what specifically will be fixed with this new firmware - Happy updating though.
