T-Mobile has introduced a new web browsing experience it is calling web2go. The services is described as a new and intuitive Web browsing experience designed to work across the entire portfolio of T-Mobile phones. The service promises to make it easy to navigate the web from both basic phones and smartphones.
Improved search functionality comes via Yahoo! oneSearch with a customizable home page, simplified shopping, and download experience. With the launch of web2go, T-Mobile also announced new data plan rates. Unlimited plans for Internet only start at $39.99 per month. Unless T-Mobile hasn't updated its website, that price isn't any cheaper than anywhere else and is much higher than the data plan for my first gen iPhone.
We believe mobile Web access appeals to everyone, and web2go makes it easier than ever for customers to surf the Web from our broad lineup of phones, said Denny Marie Post, chief marketing officer, T-Mobile USA. In addition to giving our customers the mobile Web, web2go provides a store front that will continue to grow with our customers, offering a range of products from the latest content to new innovative applications.
