Mitsubishi Digital announced new wide-format projectors have been added to the 500 series. The new projectors include the WD510U and the WD500U-ST. The ST projector is a short throw unit designed for higher education, government, and business applications.
Both projectors share the same 1280 x 800 resolution and have native 16:10 aspect ratios. The 510U offers 2600 lumens of brightness and the 500U provides 2100 lumens. The 500-ST can produce a 60-inch image on a screen or whiteboard from only 28 inches away. The projectors both use the new Texas Instruments DDP 2230 DMD chips with DLP technology.
“Our 500 family of projectors has been extremely successful since we introduced them earlier this year,” said Wayne Kozuki, product manager, Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America. “These two new-wide format projectors add more variety and flexibility to our entire lineup.”
