Speck has introduced a new hard shell case for the new aluminum MacBook that uses a new material called soft touch see through satin. The cases are opaque allowing you to see the apple logo through the case so those around you can see your geekiness.
The exterior of the case has a soft touch feel to it. The case is also available for the 15-inch MacBook Pro. Both versions fit snugly to protect the finish of the notebooks. The cases also provide extra grip to keep your beloved Mac from slipping out of your hands. Vents allow the cases to be used continuously without causing heat to build-up in the notebooks. At launch, the cases are available in black, red, and purple with additional colors coming in January.
“The design team worked hard to craft our soft-touch, hard-shell cases for the new MacBooks in time for the holiday season,” said Irene Baran, CEO of Speck. “SeeThru Satin gives your MacBook a rich, frosted appearance and a very personalized and comfortable feel, all while protecting it from scratches and scuffs.”
